So long, Norway. Hope to see you again someday!
The drive from Oslo to Copenhagen took 8 hours, with stops. We drove in three countries in one day for the first time in our experience, namely Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. We had a lot of rain, but the Volvo XC90 passed the wet weather test with flying colors! The Swedish countryside to the north of Gothenburg is generally pretty wild and very scenic. Sweden south of Gothenburg is mostly very well-cared-for agriculture land and prosperous looking farmsteads. We enjoyed crossing the Oresund Bridge and Tunnel out of Sweden into Denmark. It is Europe's longest combined road and rail bridge, and it is an amazing feat of engineering.

It's a really big bridge. |
Then it becomes a tunnel under part of the Atlantic Ocean! |
Upon arriving in Copenhagen we first sought out two of the most well-known statues in the literary world, that of The Little Mermaid, and that of Hans Christian Anderson, the famous Danish author who wrote the fairy tale about her by the same name.
